IBM Digital Health Researcher

(In collaboration with Harvard Medical School)

I contributed to an LLM-based book club designed to promote cognitive stimulation in seniors. I worked on creating profiles that stored participants' interests, reading progress, and conversation history, creating  personalized book discussions. My work on the accessible UI included implementing large fonts, voice-to-text and text-to-speech functions, high contrast colors, smart pacing, allowing for a straightforward experience  that would accommodate users with varying abilities. I also helped with prompt engineering strategies so the LLM used a conversational tone, asked thoughtful questions, and monitored users' energy levels.

IBM Digital Health Intern - Yorktown Heights

(In collaboration with Cleveland Clinic)

I worked on a project creating a digital tool for carbohydrate quantification to assist people with diabetes in managing their glucose intake. I built a nutrition data pipeline by processing Calorie King and USDA databases, cleaning and standardizing portion sizes across diverse food entries, implementing a RAG system with semantic embeddings, and tested it on real patient meals. I also created an LLM evaluation framework that tested OpenAI and WatsonX in nutrition factual accuracy, mathematical computation, health recommendations, and error detection.

Independent Researcher with Prof. Agrawal, LSE

I have worked on multiple projects with Professor Agrawal, a corporate finance and economics professor, on the labor market.

1. I analyzed job postings to investigate how required skills vary across different organizational structures (startups versus hierarchical firms), and examined skill variations across occupational categories and company types

2. I developed a RAG system to extract organizational change information, such as restructuring and acquisitions, from SEC 10-Ks, then analyzed their impact on firm hiring patterns and skill demands

3. Other: traced the historical emergence of technology-related skills, created system to assess companies' likelihood of facing skill shortages based on job postings
